Explorer keeps saying it needs to close

AthlonXP 2600, 1GB DDR RAM 160GB HD DeForce 5200 graphics
card.

When tring to bowse my hard disk I ger very frequent
messages that "Explorer need to close, sorry about losing
any data etc..."

Has anyone go any ideas please?

Try the System File Checker by running the command
SFC /scannow
from Start > Run. If this does not help, you may have to reinstall
Windows as described here: "How to Perform an In-Place Upgrade
(Reinstallation) of Windows XP"
