[Norman Boucher]

I am trying to locate windows clipboard to move icon to
the desktop but can't find it in win xp. Micorsoft shows
how to do it in win 98 and me. This hopefully would make
items sent to the clipboard available to see and use while
outside of office. Win add and remove items in control
panel shows it loaded but can't find the item anywhere

Thanks but didn't work used run put in clpbrd and enter
but came back unable to find. Mary Sauer provided solution

You didn't do it right. You said you found it in System32, typing it in =
SR will find it if it's in system32. It's not something that you could =
prevent. Perhaps you misspelt it.

Norman,

Maybe you spelled it right when you used the run command, but you have
misspelled it in your post . . .it's "clipbrd" not "clpbrd."
