bruce c - is right - and you can also use the option
as follows - ie
open msword/edit/click on - clipboard/
this opens it and accumulates your entries up to and
incl '24 entries' - and it then uses
'lifo - last in first out' - for
using the entries

Normally one copies a single letter to the clipboard. I've attached a small prog that others here have requested that clears the clipboard.

If you go to C:\Windows\System32 and look for
clipbrd.exe - then you can make a Shortcut and put it
into the Start\Progs List - Accessories\System Tools -
where it used to be on 98\ME - then open it and clear in
the normal way

It looks to me that only one item is "saved" on the Clipboard. Perhaps
there are up to 24 available when using Word, but only one is "saved" on
the Clipboard (but none are available to Word once it is closed and
reopened). Here's what I see.

If I open Word, I see that I can put up to 24 entries on the Clipboard.
Each time I do a ctr-C on something to copy it, I see each one placed
on the Clipboard pane in Word. But, if I open the ClipboardViewer
(clipbrd.exe), even while still in Word, I only see the last (most
recent ctrl-c) entry, even though there are more shown on the Word
Clipboard pane.

If I close MSWord, and reopen it, all entries are gone from the
Clipboard (MSWord/edit/Office Clipboard...) and only the most recent one
entered is on the Clipboard Viewer (clipbrd.exe).

The reason I asked my original question, "How do I clear the
Clipboard?", is because I was browsing www.anonymizer.com, and did
Exposed Clipboard Test:
http://www.anonymizer.com/snoop/test_clipboard.shtml

To my surprise, it show a Customer ID I had copied from one document to
another. Surprised the heck out of me.

I now have a shortcut to clipbrd.exe on my taskbar.

Office doesn't use the clipboard. Has it's own.

Office only copies the most recent clipboard entry to the clipboard because
the clipboard can only accept one entry at a time.
