In another post I was told the program rarepair.exe, a
program to repair WAN Miniports on a WXP OS, is available
on PSS, but I can't find it.
Does anyone out there have a copy they could send me?
Thanks,
Ed

What is rarepair.exe?
Remote Access Repair?
What is PSS?
What is the issue exactly, besides trying to find
"rarepair.exe" which http://www.google.com/ apparently has
never heard of?

Hi Ed,
There is no publically available tool called rarepair (that I know of).
Could you describe your issue in more detail please?
Thanks,
Marc Reynolds

Hi Marc,
I upgraded/migrated my Armada M700 laptop from W2K to WXP,
and to make a long story short I eventually got the IP
stack rebuilt but now the WAN Miniports L2TP and PPTP are
missing. In another post Ken Wickes, who was a tremendous
help, told me that the program rarepair.exe would fix it
and said that it could be found in PSS, which I assumed
meant Product Support Services (i.e. this site). I
searched this site as well as google and couldn't find any
program titled rarepair.exe. Maybe Ken misspelled the
title. I placed a reply in the other post asking him for a
copy...just a li'l impatitient over a very wet weekend
here along the NC coast.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Ed

Possible information to take a look at that may not directly lead to a

Sorry Ed I didn't see your post till today and I will send you a copy.
The program *should* be available from phone support and they *shouldn't*
charge you if that's what you need. It's not widely available for download.
However it's apparent that there is some miscommunication surrounding this
utility, and I will take this up with PSS.

Ken,
Now I DO owe you many beers!
Just ran rarepair.exe...it rebooted twice, once for the
deinstall and once for the reinstall of the WAN Miniports,
and it seems to have fix the problem.
I really appreciate all your assistance.
Take care,
Ed
