I setup wireless network with bellsouth. Desktop as server
with XP pro and three laptops one XP and two 98se. all
computers browse fine but can't see the other computers
and when I try to setup sharing get the above message.
Seems to have no worms or virus on any of units. Check
knowledge base articles don't see anything. Any ideas will
help

Go to a command line and type "net start lanmanserver" and post back with
the error code.

Could you double check the spelling and try it again?

net start lanmanserver

If the service is really gone then your best bet might be a repair install.
