go into your control panel and double click folder options
and then on the first page click restore defaults and see
if that helps. Another way to reset files associations is
to open the run command under start and type in
regsvr32 /i shell32 You must be sure to put it in
exactly as I have it typed, including the spaces and lower
case i. Good luck.
