I do it regularly once a month. This time for the first time the report
stated that:
Fragments File Size Files that cannot be defragmented
2 264 KB
\WINDOWS\LastGood\SYSTEM32\SPOOL\DRIVERS\W32X86\he wlett_packarddeskj9500000\

What should I do to have a clean defragmentation next time and how do I
proceed to do it?
Any ideas you geniuses?
Thank you in anticipation,

Don't worry about it. Most users could NEVER defrag and they'd never see any
degradation. In fact that is EXACTLY what happens in 90% of the computers
today.
However IF you must defrag try using Diskeeper in it's Set and Forget mode.
It is 100% automatic and runs transparently in the background.
It is by Executive Software which wrote and licensed the current defrag in
XP to Microsoft.

I have no idea whether this will work for you, but when I had some massive
video files that wouldn't defrag I booted into Safe Mode and defragged from
there. That did the trick.

Greg Hayes/Raxco Software

Charlie,
Just to clarify...
Executive Software did NOT write the built-in defragmenter in Windows XP -
even though it shares some of the same characteristics and limitations as
Diskeeper.
- Greg/Raxco Software
Microsoft MVP - Windows Storage Management/File System
Disclaimer: I work for Raxco Software, the maker of PerfectDisk - a
commercial defrag utility, as a systems engineer in the support department.

Vaughn McMillan - Executive Software

Charlie, Greg is correct. We did NOT write the defragger in Windows
XP. Diskeeper and Microsoft's Disk Defragmenter share some
technology, but we didn't write Disk Defragmenter -- Microsoft did.
I'd like to know where in the Diskeeper Help files (and on our web
site) you found info to state otherwise. If you can give me specific
quotes I'd be glad to address them.
I hope this helps -
Vaughn McMillan
