What is Synchronizer?

Can anyone tell me what Synchronizer in Windows XP does? I hoped it would
reset my computer's clock when I logged on to the Internet, but it doesn't
seem to.

Sorry Don, I now realise my reply was ambiguous. What I meant was:

Thanks very much for supplying just the advice I needed. I had actually
looked in Help and Support before posting my question but hadn't spotted
there was an index. Therefore, when I searched for Synchroniser and nothing
was returned I was stumped.
