making backup disk

I can't remember how to make a backup disk in the RARE
event windows xp crashes. How do I do this?

Generally you can backup your data with NTBACKUP which is shipped with
Windows XP. In the Professional Edition you can also create a
so-called ASR backup with this tool which can be used for to restore
Windows even if the OS does no longer start.
