I have a question for you that maybe you could help me
out with. Last night I set my computers up for a home
net. I got the linksys wireless-G system and have cable
internet. My main computer - that has always been on the
net - I pluged into the plug on the back of the linksys
router - so it's not wireless. My OTHER computer - my
kid's - has never been on the internet - it is now - just
fine..... but here's my problem - I can surf the web, I
can chat in yahoo and msn messenger - etc - I can go to
sites and download files just fine - BUT - like I said -
it has NEVER been on the web - it WILL NOT let me update
XP at all no matter how hard I try - and thier lists of
things - doesn't give me ANY information - cause it
doesn't give me any reason other than "Failed to download,
go back and try again"......
I was thinking it was the computer - BUT - I came to my
main computer - went to thier sites where you could
download the files to self install - figuring I'd burn
them to disc or something - my main computer won't
download them at all either - same "Failed to download, go
back and try again"........
What is wrong with this wireless router that microsoft XP
isn't liking?
