1st of all, thank you for your reply, but when I checked
the win2k server, I found that the Datatype=REG_DWORD,
Data=0 already.

This can happen if the Security Audit file has reached
its capacity and
there the registry key is not set to overwrite the
entries.
However, it also can happen if there has been a change
to the
crashonauditfail registry key.
Check the below key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Lsa\cr
ashonauditfail key
If the Datatype is REG_NONE and Data=2, change them to
Datatype=REG_DWORD,
Data=0.
