i want to be able to tranfer folders and files from one
computer to the other and they are the same program .
my one pc is an emachinewith xp and the other is hp
without but but has w98.

Is this a whole program that you want to transfer? If yes, the program needs
to be installed instead of copied. That means using the original
installation media and running setup.
If you are moving personal data files from one machine to the other, the
recieving machine needs to have a program installed that can read the file
type. Example, create a photoshop image file in Adobe Photoshop on one
computer. Move the image file to another computer. To read that file, the
2nd machine needs a program installed that can read photoshop image files.
If you need more help, tell us what exactly it is that you are moving.
Someone should be able to help you hook up a program with the kind of files
you are working with.
