Hi, I went to

http://communities.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.asp?icp=mscom&slcid=US
and found a Outlook express group but don't know how to add it to my
newsgroup list can anyone tell me how.

If you click the below URL the newsgroups will be setup on your system:
news://msnews.microsoft.com

You can go there and then click on "Favorites" at the top
and tell it to "Add to favorites" and it will take you to
that newsgroup everytime you click on it. You can also go
back to the Favorites list, RIGHT click on it and "Send it
to Desktop" and you'll have even quicker access.

Proper way is to 'subscribe' to the groups you want. In Outlook Express
click tools--newsgroups-and select the ones you want by highlighting and
clicking subscribe. .

When the list of groups comes up it does not show the
entire name so I do not know which group is which.

If you go back in you can widen the column by clicking on the divider at the
top of the window and moving it across that will allow the list to show more
of the name.
