View Full Version : Ethernet Cable unplugged after bridge

Alright I posted this before, but it is now 4 pages
behind and no one's responding to it and I still need
help. My network ethernet cable is reporting unplugged
after my roommate managed to bridge my LAN connection
with my 1394 connection. I undid the bridge but it's
still reporting that the cable's unplugged. The cable
itself is fine and my wall port still works fine too,
just Win XP thinks it's unplugged. I've uninstalled and
reinstalled the Client for Windows and my ethernet card
and redone all the connections to no avail. DHCP picks
my IP through the TCP/IP protocol and I am unable to
uninstall the protocol. Any and all suggestion are
welcome, another floor-mate of mine is having the same
problem, so I'm willing to try anything. Just post
anything with even a glimpse of working except
reformatting windows, that's always a last resort.

thanks so much,
Jedirock

It's odd that it worked before but you probably need to upgrade your network
adapter driver.
