Check in the add/remove programs to see if hotfix 811493
is listed there. If so, then remove it. That hotfix is
known by MS to cause a major performance slow down. Since
they admitted its causing problems, they are working on a
fix for it and have moved it from being a critical update
to a recommended up date. Like I said, if its on the list
remove it and reboot.
