Hi

I am running WindowsXP Home. As a result of advice, I recently limited the
scope of the user accounts for the two normal users and added an
administrator account which is password protected. I recently installed the
trial version of a programme which needs a product key to unlock the full
version (Ashampoo Illuminator). This programme was installed through the
administrator account. I then installed the product key and all works fine.
However, when I change to the user accounts, the programme will only work in
the restricted version and will not accept the product key.

I have tried uninstalling and then reinstalling through a user account, but
that doesn't work either. Can anyone suggest a solution?

TIA

JohnM

I would contact the manufacturer/author of the application. Obviously
there is a problem with this program and the Windows XP multi-user
environment.
Before you do that you may try reinstalling the application from the
user account with Admin rights. See "Certain Programs Do Not Work
Correctly If You Log On Through a Limited User Account"
