- I connect to my ISp at 26.4 or slower using my new HP
pavillin a255c. I can connect at 36.4 or faster using my
old laptop at work to the same number. All my research
indicates it is an init string, v.92, driver and modem
setup combination. I really would like to connect faster.
I had 57.5 Megs of upgrades. What a bear trying to load.
I get no help from Highstream, the ISP service. On my old
Dell I loaded Highstream also. I can't connect higher
than 28.8. Creative sent me an init string to try but it
just which blows out my driver.
