This has been bothering me for a while. Sometimes my
start menu takes between 5-8 seconds to appear. It just
shows up as a sold gray, and then refreshes after that
time period with the content. Other times it just shows
immediately. I have my system setup to clear paging file
and other temp files when I reboot. Not sure if this
could have a negative impact. It seems to just take a
long time to compile the list of programs because
whenever I add a new program, it always take s along
time. I have about 80 things on there
(including "accesories, etc" Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Richard,

If their is a correlation between the size of the folder and the delay time,
you may need to break the large foldes into smaller ones.

BTW have you used tweakui to set the startmenu to fast?
