I have xp Home, is it possible for me to copy radio
programs that I listen to onto the computer or a CD? Or
do I have to get some special software?

Hi Paul,
It sorta depends on the hardware. You need to have a "full duplex" sound
card that can record and play at the same time. Luckily, most can do this;
although some 'integrated' audio units (those that are part of the main
board) can not.
1) begin your playback session.
2) open your recording application
3) open the windows volume control
4) bring up the recording properties (the exact method varies)
5) turn on 'stereo mixer' or other 'mixer' (it's usually a check-box)
6) start recording. You should see the waveform on your monitor.
These instructions may not agree with reality, since the software used by
your soundcard controls the 'volume control,' and the terminology varies.
Persevere. It can be done!
