Click start> run> programs> accessories> wordpad

That is the only word processor XP installs as part of the operating =
system. If you are talking about using MS Word (or a spreadsheet) or one =
of Corel's word processors, you need to purchase and install those =
separately. There are free versions of StarOffice which can be used on =
XP, but it isn't nearly as good as Corel's and certainly not close to MS =
Word.

Greetings --

Have you purchased and installed a word processing application?
WinXP is an operating system, so it only includes the rudimentary text
editors, NotePad and WordPad, both of which can be found under Start >
All Programs > Accessories.
