retreiving email-.dbx file

I just upgraded to Windows XP and all my old email is
part of many .DBX files that I can't open. Does anyone
know how to retrieve old email from Outlook Express?

Don't put them in the OE message store folder. Put them in an empty Windows
folder. Select one and press Ctrl-A to Select All. Right click the
selection and choose Properties and remove any check mark from the Read Only
box. Now open OE and choose File | Import | Messages | OE6 | Import from an
OE store directory and navigate to the Windows folder you put them in.
