View Full Version : How to enable form autocomplete and password remember

Hutch,
thanks for taking the time to post a reply. I tried what
you wrote, this is the same window that I used to enable
autocomplete from my IE -Tools-Internet options- content-
personal information to check the boxes for all of the
auotcomplete feature.

My problem is that Windows XP allows the web address
autocomplet but not web forms and passwords due to some
security feature.

I am wondering if any one has been able to use "remember
password" feature in Windows XP?

Ben, I use autocomplete quite extensively too and also run into an
occasional site that will not allow the caching of username/password. I
think this has something to do with the site rather than a setting that can
be changed.

Oops, just re-read your post and see that you are having trouble with any
user/password combos. Do you have "clear history" or "clear temporary
internet files on exit" checked in IE's Internet Options? Or similar
settings enabled in any other program? If yes, try reversing those settings
and then test the autocomplete feature again.
