My daughter has WinXP (pre SP1) on a machine with a dial-up modem. My modem
is cable. Is it possible to D/L SP1a to my PC followed by burning to a CD?
She could then install SP1a from the CD.

Is there a MS site for this?

Thanks,

Peter

Hi

You will find SP1a here (a 134 MB download, same file for Pro and Home)
under Network Installation:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/servicepacks/sp1/default.asp
