I get my gateway assigned and my subset assigned by the
router and that happens and is correct too. I also can
see my gateway address on the XP machine and thats
correct. The laptop seems to try to connect sometimes
then just dies for no apparent reason. Once I got part of
a page loaded. I can't ping anything but my pcmcia
wireless card and I can't release and renew my ip. I've
seen this problem was posted here on 8-17 and there were
no replies.. It seems to me it's either an XP problem or
a HP pcmcia "chipset" problem. The card and the router
work in another laptop.
