I just installed a new hard drive, (IBM Deskstar) installed xp pro, when I
bring up windows explorer, click on C just highlight it or any files there
in everything just goes away, POOF! All that is on my screen is my
wallpaper, I can not right click on desktop nothing, everything just
disappears, I have to log off by ctrl alt delete or reboot to get it to load
back. I replaced the ribbon (80 pin ribbon)for the hard drive, checked the
connections to the motherboard, double checked the the settings for both
master and slave on ibms website they match the diagram on the drive they
are correct. Can anyone help please??
Thanks
Sandy
