View Full Version : Changing screen resolution.
In Win98 & WinMe & was able to quickly change my screen
resolution by an icon placed on the taskbar thru the
Dispaly portion of control panel. No such creature exist in
XP (Or I just don't know how to find it) This is a feature
I use quite frequently & have to go thru 'Properties', ect,
numerous time to change the resolution can be a pain. Does
anyone know an easier method? What am I missing?

Start/Control Panel/Appearance/Display. You're there, follow the
instructions.
After the resolution has been changed, you will have to adjust the screen
size using the control on your monitor.

Ron,
That option is not available in XP, but you can create a desktop shortcut to
it with the following tip from Steve Yandl:
Create a shortcut and make the target as follows:
%windir%\System32\control.exe desk.cpl display,4
Name it whatever you want (screen resolution?)
You can drag it to the quick launch area after testing.
