Cannot "uninstall" programs. How do I get rid of?

I am using Win XP Pro. and installed a antivirus program
(Panda) along with a few others I'd like to remove from
my pc. When using 'Add/Remove' in Cntrl Panel, I get an
error message saying "Error extracting support files".
How do I get around this and remove these programs? Thanx.

Klaxzon,

From your post it appears that uninstalling "any program" from add/remove
programs produces the error, is that correct? If so, you have a larger
problem than just being unable to uninstall programs. Post back with
clarification.
