Back in the Win98/ME days I was able to require a password as a way to
limit who could access my machine over the network. I'm now running
XP Pro and want to do the same think.
So far, I found and unchecked the "Simple File Sharing" checkbox.
I assigned a password to the guest account.
Now when I try to access that machine over the network, I receive an
error message saying "Login failure: Bad user name or password".
But, I was not given a chance to enter a password (I assume its
defaulting to the guest user).
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
TIA
