Power off

When I used ME the computer powered off when shut down.
How dO I set up XP Home to do the same thing? I tried to
change the registry setting for PowerOffActive entry from
0 to 1. Any thoughts???

Go to Control panel, double click Power Options, click the APM tab, click
Enable Advanced Power Management Support.
If the APM tab is not available, and if your computer is several years old,
you may need to update your BIOS to be compatible with XP.
