Email Notification

I'm in my sixth day of using WindowsXP-Home Edition. Sure is different from
Windows98 or I'm just having a difficult time with change!

When I first started using XP, upon signing on, I received a message that I
had unread messages. Now, I don't received any notification, why?
My mail program is Outlook Express and I have two mail accounts.

Help would be appreciated.

In Outlook Express, click tools--options--general tab--and set to check for
mail every X minutes and notify you when new mail.
