View Full Version : Wireless adapter not available after XP upgrade

I have the same problem with a new Dell Inspiron 1100 and
it wasn't because the adapter is disabled. Everything
worked fine until I upgraded it to XP Pro... now I
get "Wireless Connection Unavailable" whenever I enable
the adapter. Seven other laptops with XP Home work fine,
but I'm afriad to upgrade them to XP Pro. Another laptop
that came with XP Pro (A ThinkPad) works fine.

I've uninstalled the adpater, re-installed it, etc. The
adapter works fine in other laptops and I've tried it
with a brand new access point. We need a detailed
troubleshooting response to fix this porblem, please.
It's got something to do with teh upgrade to XP Pro.

Thanks,
Bill
