View Full Version : LAN/ADSL problem

Cable

I have a toshiba Satellte laptop with an Intel Pro 100 VE
adaptor and network bridge. I am trying to connect it to
a small LAN that uses an ADSL router to assign IP's and
connect to the net.

Every other machine works fine, however the toshiba
laptop, although establishing a network connection at
100mbps, is not visable to the other machines on the LAN,
and cannot connect to the net. I may as well have the
cable unplugged!

When i check the Local area connection status it says it
is connected, however there are 0 packets received, and
plenty sent. In fact it is constantly sending 2 - 4
packets every second. When i click on the suport tab the
adress type, IP address, Subnet mask and Default gateway
all say <Unavailable>

Any ideas??

Thanks
