I recently bought a Linksys router. I would like to get
my laptop to print to a printer that is already hooked to
a family computer in the family room. I know I can do it
through the router, but I don't even know where to start.
I am running 2000 on the computer with the printer and XP
on the laptop. Can anyone direct me to an easy step by
step page that explains how to do this?

Thanks.

Hi Rob,

Easy as pie (I hope).

create a user on the xp machine with password (or not)
share the printer and give the user u created full permissions.

on the win2k pc the user must reflect user name and password of the user u
created on the winxp machine, obviously, give both PCs an ip address, and it
should be just a case of browsing for the printer and installing it. If
everything else is working fine that is...

hope it helps
