This is usually due to the fact that you do not have the
updated drivers for your hardware from each of the
manufacturers sites. The generic drivers installed by XP
do not give full functionality and when a certain protocol
is called for and the system can't find it a lockup is
usually the result. Update your drivers. Good luck.
