I am using a dial-up connection to access my Internet
Service Provider. I have followed the steps for setting
up my home computer with a firewall. After doing so the
status of that connection is listed as Connected,Shared,
Firewalled on the Network Connections display.

Sometimes when I turn off the computer and dial-up again
the firewall gets disabled.

Is this normal behavior?
Do I have to reestablish a firewall everytime I dial-up?

You shouldn't have to. When you find the box has been unchecked, can you
type the following at a command prompt and post the results?

sc queryex sharedaccess
