Logon screen shows user name and 264 unread messages even
though all the messages are read. How get I get rid of it?

Hi Mike
Download and install *TweakUI for XP*
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp
Theren is an option to disable this

To reset the counter go to TWEAKUI.EXE > Repair. Or disable this all
with TWEAKUI.EXE > Logon > Unread Mail.
TweakUI is available from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp.
