After downloading Updates from Microsoft my computer
wouldn't shut down. Short ver. Had to wipe-out then
recovery. The outcome was not pretty. (The problem) I was
a new computer user in Sept. and I downloaded some screen-
savers. I know (thought) from microsoft up-dates,
but...when I asked microsoft they sent me back to H.S.N.
They (H.S.N.) said I should NEVER down-load from Up-
dates! Question? Should I not download from micr. updates
& where did I down load the SIDE-WHINDER? (plus other
cool screen-savers FREE!) And please no saying I'm lazy &
stupid. Down to SMARTY PANTS!!!(you know who you are)

If you downloaded the screen savers from the Microsoft site, you shouldn't be having
problems. Did you download from this site?
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/default.asp
or if using XP Home
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/home/downloads/default.asp
Screen savers from some sites can have a virus attached. Are you saying you bought
your computer from the Home Shopping Network and they offer support?
