Under Win98, when accessing the Internet through the company proxy
server, the user id was pervasive for all subsequent accesses. This
allowed me to use 'Push the Freakin' Button' to click OK.
Under WinXP, each new web site requires the proxy server to be entered.
It is no longer pervasive.
Two questions arise:
1) Is there a WinXP setting that provides a default user id to the web
proxy for all web sites?
2) If not, can anyone recommend a utility that can recognise the request
for proxy authentication and provide the user id.
