Greetings,

I'm trying to figure out how to stop Messenger from trying to launch every
time I open Outlook Express. I've killed Messenger from all Startup
Folders, I've checked off autoLaunch in both Messenger and OE options yet,
it still tries... Anyone????
TIA

Run REGEDIT.EXE and navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Outlook Express. Insert a new
DWORD entry
Hide Messenger
here and set it to a value of
2

Hi,

Use this utility to remove Messenger from OE. It also corrects the delay
that is caused in OE from disabling Messenger.
