View Full Version : establishing network: One PC works, the other doesn't

I just purchased a Linksys router and hooked it up - LED
lights show that there is a connection and that that it is
good. My PC connected instantly - the second shows that
the LAN cable is connected, but can't get online with it.
In the LAN Settings, it shows a diallog that has packets
being sent, but none being received. Running XP
Professional.

The first question I always ask is if you can ping the web sites. if not,
check the DNS settings first. or post ipconfig /all here.
