I recently upgraded a 98SE platform to XP, I get the
following error, it pops up twice, I cancel it and the
machines appears to work fine. Would like to understand
what the error means, and if there is any way to get rid
of it!

Unexpected internal c-tree(R) error #8522

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

C-TREE is not part of a standard Windows XP installation. See
http://www.easywindows.com/messages/3045.html and if that does not
help read

Doing a bit of research on this error message, it appears to be most
commonly associated with the Microsoft Money program Reminder.exe, which is
the Bill Payer reminder that resides in the system tray on Windows 98,
appears to be the culprit.

Open Start/Run and type msconfig and press OK. Click the Start Up tab
and check for this program there. Remove the check mark from that entry, if
found. Let us know if this resolves the error message.
