I have a problem with WINDOWS-XP running on my
laptop TOSHIBA- Satellite 4090 XCDT - Pentium II 500 Mz -
RAM 128 MO.
ACPI-BIOS version 8.2 dated December 28, 1999 (this is
the latest version that I found on different web sites oh
Toshiba
It's impossible to copy a file to diskette A:
because the EXPLORER always showed the critical
message "THE REQUEST COULD NOT BE PERFORMED BECAUSE OF AN
I/O DEVICE ERROR".
On the other hand, features such as Copying
diskette A:\ to harkdisk or formatting A: worked quite
well.
The drivers FDC.SYS and FLPYDISK.SYS of Windows
XP (dated August 23, 2001) appeared to be good as
indicated by the CONTROL PANEL/SYSTEM checking.
My floppy drive has absolutely no problem because
it worked perfectly under WINDOWS 98 and DOS.
Can anybody help me. Thanks
