Somehow I made my taskbar icons large. I have tried
resizing the display properties and resizing the taskbar,
but they are still big. How do I make them small again?
My desktop icons are fine, and my start menu icons are
fine. It's only the taskbar icons and I have tried
everything I can think of. Help!

See "How to Restore the Operating System to a Previous State in
Windows XP" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306084).

Which icons are you referring to?

If you're referring to the icons in the Quick Launch bar as well as any
custom toolbars, then try the following:
- unlock the taskbar by right-clicking on the clock and unchecking "Lock the
taskbar"
- right-click on the bar on the left side of the toolbar, and go to View \
Small Icons

If you're talking about the icons inside the buttons that correspond to
running programs, check to see if you have High DPI turned on (Display
Properties \ Settings tab \ Advanced button)
