if i turn my computer off, will the alarm still come on

What alarm. XP doesn't have any.

The new toys in Digital Media Plus! for WMP do.

However, if the pc is turned off it certainly isn't going to work.

Maybe. Does your BIOS support "Wake on RTC"? If yes, use it to start the
computer at a certain time. Use a program to automatically log your account
on. Configure the alarm clock program to run at startup and everything
should fall into place. Wouldn't it be easier to just use a regular alarm
clock?
