View Full Version : Where's my dial up networking gone?

Had a few probs with Windows XP Pro and used "repair" which fixed everything
except that now my "Connect to" icon in the start menu has disappeared and
trying to create a new connection the dial up option is greyed out and only
broadband is selectable (which I haven't got!). The modem is fine, I can
query it and it is working on the dual windows that I have set up to be able
to send this post.
I don't want to have to load all my software again on this dual system as it
will take a day at least. Can anyone give me a clue to get my DUN back
please?

Hi Barry,

This edit will correct the behavior:

Dial-Up Modem or PPPoE is Unavailable (Line 87)

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
