display too big-windows to large for my 17" monitor

does anyone know how to change the display on the
monitor,other than going through the control panel to the
display, i don't seem to have the option (i think it is
set as a default)
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hi,

You can right click on the desktop and choose Properties
from the drop down menu. this will bring up the same
dialog that u see when u choose display options from
control panel.

Hi, Tracy,

If you can't get to the controls when you open the display settings, hit =
ctrl+space+m, then use the arrow keys to move the window to a position =
where you can. Hit <enter> once the pane is in the position you want.
