I am using Outlook Express for emails. In many cases, when I receive
emails, they came with an attachment. The attachment is an html (e.g.,
"ATTXXXX.html"). When opened, its content is the same as those seen in
text file emails.
I wonder why emails create an additional html attachment. satoshi

If the sender uses HTML or Rich Text to create a email message, the
hypertext is sent as an attachment if your mail reader uses plain
text only. It makes the message twice as long. You might also
notice this with newsgroup messages. Malicious content could be
embedded in the hypertext portion of the message.

In Tools | Options | Read you have selected Read all messages in plain text,
so it shows the HTML code as an attachment. (SP1 and higher)
