At my office we have a number of clients with XP Pro
installed on them. Using an inhouse system the clients
have to save to a shared drive (on a Windows 2000 server)
on a regular basis. Since upgrading to XP there is now a
long delay when saving the file. This does not happen on
Windows 2000 clients. I know it's at the application
level because I can ping the machines and it's really
quick. I believe there's a security setting or some sort
of other setting (!) in XP which is causing this delay.
Any ideas? I did try the Microsoft support line but....
