Hi there
I am trying to setup an IPSec VPN to a Netgear FVS318
Router and all I ever get is the following error message

Error 768 - The connection attempt failed because of
failure to encrypt data.

This error displays no mater what I do. Does anybody know
what this means or have I encountered a bug in the
Windows XP IPSec implementation.

Thanks Before Hand

George

Hi George,

I checked the Netgear support site, and I think they have answered your
question:

Question

What VPN client software is supported?

Answer

The FVS318 supports the Safenet (Soft-PK, SoftRemote) client, available at
www.safenet-inc.com. This is the only client that we support, But we do have
setup documents for most of the major VPN Clients software.

Thanks,
