Hi
My young daughter put a cd-rom into my computer and now I have an error
message. The message is:

Windows File Protection
Files that are required for windows to run properly have been replaced by
unrecognized versions. To maintain system stability Windows must restore the
original versions of these files.

Insert your Windows XP Home Edition CD-ROM now.

The thing is I haven't got a windows XP cd-rom. Windows came pre-installed
when I bought the computer. When I click cancel on the error message I get
this message:

You chose not to restore the original versions of the files. This may effect
Windows stability. Are you sure you want to keep these unrecognized file
versions?

I do have 2 master cd-roms but when I put these in, I get the error that
they are not the right disks. What do I do now?
TIA
Tracy

Hi Tracy,

Search (start/search/files & folders) for an I386 folder. If so, this is =
where you need to redirect the search.
